Town Meeting 2010

At our annual Town Meeting, March 2nd, Ira voter's overwhelmingly, 89 to 20, voted support for the Highlands Conservation District in our Town Plan prohibiting development on our mountains and ridgelines. Despite an extensive public relations effort by Vermont Community Wind Farm, for support in the construction of industrial wind turbines in the District, voter's unequivocally said No!
